Buy Nectarines at the Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market Saturday

Provision your Memorial Day picnic with fresh produce and other foods from local farmers and artisans.

Look for nectarines that have just come to ripeness at the Pleasant Hill Farmers’ Market Saturday. A cultivar of the peach, nectarines are among the first stone fruits to ripen in the summer, and they are the featured produce this week at the market. Buy extra to preserve for winter, when a taste of summer brightens a December meal.

Guitarist Steve Fread is the featured musical performer.

When: Saturday, May 26 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
