Join Contra Costa Humane Society for a fun family trail hike fundraiser on Sunday, June 24th at 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Castle Rock Regional Park in Walnut Creek. First 50 registered adults (by mail or on-line) will receive a special goodie bag compliments of Big Dogs Sportswear, Whole Foods Lafayette, Rubio’s Pleasant Hill and more. Registration is $25 per adult 13 and up, $10 for 5 to 12 years old. Dogs are free, requested but not required. Create a fundraising team, enter a pet contest, sample food from Rubio’s, win a raffle prize and bring a picnic for after. You can usually find lower prices at…Read More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
