Patch Bloggers Get Real at Meet-and-Greet

They've already made their virtual presence known, and at a happy hour event last Friday, our bloggers mingled in person. Meet the local voices on Pleasant Hill Patch, and add your own!

It was a warm Friday afternoon on the patio at Jack's Restaurant and Bar, but the shade was cool and so were the people gathered underneath the large, orange umbrellas. 

The Pleasant Hill Patch Blogger Happy Hour brought our team of editors to the table, along with the bloggers who contribute to our Local Voices section. This first meetup proved the perfect way to get to know the people behind the blogs, as well as discuss ideas for future posts and .

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
