How Should Pleasant Hill Memorialize the "Dome"?

With demolition of the CinéArts theater set to go ahead, the city is looking for ways to commemorate the iconic "dome" theater. Share your ideas for a "dome" memorial.

Hanging on a wall at the Pleasant Hill Library is a tapestry showing all the landmarks in town. It depicts Pleasant Hill High School, College Park, The School House, DVC, Asfothelos, Soldier's Monument, Rogers Ranch, Magini Farm — and, of course, the "dome" theater.

But with the potential demolition of the CinéArts theater looming above the iconic "dome," the city is searching for ways to memorialize the landmark.

Ideas being considered include a mural — showing the "dome" in all its 1960s glory — or a series of dome-shaped trellises and an arch at the Crossroads Shopping Center.
