The breakfast, brunch and lunch joint is a favorite with in-the-know locals. Have you tried Plaza Cafe? Share your review.

Tucked in a corner in the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center on Contra Costa Boulevard, Plaza Cafe can be easily overlooked. But the diner-style joint has still managed to develop a following with clued-up locals.

Plaza Cafe offers daily specials, as well as a traditional breakfast menu and all-American lunch. Prices are under $10 for most dishes, including the "All-American Breakfast" for $8.25 and the "Contra Costa Special" for $9.50.

The breakfast offerings include sweet treats like pecan pancakes, filling foods like the chorizo breakfast burrito, and culinary creations like the crab omelet and eggs Benedict. Lunch spans sandwiches and burgers, soups and salads.
