Busiest Mailing Day Of The Year is Today

If you are mailing something today, you should expect to stand in line.

The United States Post Office says Monday, Dec. 17, will be the busiest mailing day of 2012.

The postal service expects to receive 658 million cards, letters and packages today, compared to 528 million on a regular day.

It's part of the 18 billion pieces of mail the USPS predicts it will deal with between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve this year.

The USPS says the busiest delivery day for cards this year will be Wednesday. The busiest delivery day for packages will be Thursday.

was also the Monday before Christmas week.

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
