New Senior Center Opened Saturday

The facility on Gregory Lane will be officially dedicated Saturday afternoon

The new senior center in Pleasant Hill will officially open its doors Saturday afternoon.

The Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District is hosting a grand opening from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The $10 million center is located at 233 Gregory Lane next to Pleasant Hill Park.

The 22,500-square-foot facility features bocce ball courts, a banquet hall for 250 people, a dance studio, computer lab, two classrooms, a game room, library and state-of-the-art commercial kitchen.

Anyone 50 years or older, regardless of where they live, can participate in center activities. Annual memberships can be purchased for $12.
