The East Bay Municipal Utility District is working to repair a water main that ruptured late Monday night on a Pleasant Hill cul-de-sac, leaving six customers without water.
EBMUD spokeswoman Abby Figueroa said crews were called to 6 Pomfret Walk in Pleasant Hill shortly after 11 p.m. and were able to shut off the water main around midnight.
Figueroa said additional crews arrived around 1 a.m. and have remained at the scene working to repair the ruptured 6-inch concrete water line.
"We have a lot of digging to do this morning," Figueroa said.
EBMUD said the six Pleasant Hill customers were still without water this morning. Service is expected to be restored later today.
She said it is still not clear what caused the rupture.
