You Are The Rules Committee For Your Own Life

Often the rules we make for ourselves create our biggest hurtles.

I love to make up rules about how things should be or how they ought to be done.

I make up rules about what I can and cannot do, have, be, or deserve.
I make up rules that hold me back and keep me “safe”…neatly tucked into my comfy little safety zone while my FREE SPIRIT slowly dies!

give authority to so-called experts and make up rules about living the way that they tell me to…because if I don’t they might call me a failure.

I make up rules that will make me feel better when I do fail.

And then it occurred to me, “Hey wait a minute, I’M the boss of ME!”

I AM the rules committee of my life.
I decide what I want, what I will do, and how I will do it.
I am my OWN authority when it comes to my next move. There is no one to ask, what, how, why, or for permission. AND I have the POWER to authorize any rule changes as OFTEN as I’d like.

I KNOW what is best for me, even when it feels as though I don’t. By simply quieting the silly rule-making voices (whether they are mine or someone else’s) and deeply listening to my heart, I’ll find the answer waiting there for me…if I am patient.

I can make decisions based on what brings me joy and supports the essence of my being, passionately following my bliss.

My invitation to you:
What rules have you made up that get in your way?
How could you take back your power?

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
