Community Corner

GNON (Girls Night Out Networking) to partner with PLEASANTON MILITARY FAMILIES at Remax Accord of Pleasanton!

Imagine if you will, 50+ women coming together in one room,
networking and socializing with the goal of increasing their business awareness
while at the same time supporting a local nonprofit organization.  This will be the scene on May 15th
at GNON – Girls Night Out Networking; the all-women networking group founded by
Frances Hewitt of FHI Marketing
Consultants.

GNON, which will be celebrating its 6 year
anniversary in June, will be hosting a Community Outreach project along with Janice Halbuetzel of Remax Accord and
Joanie Svedeman of Super Slow Zone in Pleasanton
, by doing a special drive
for Pleasanton Military Families.
Frances Hewitt, GNON Founder, is excited to hold this outreach project.  She states, “I am proud and thankful of our troops so what a great way to show our
appreciation!”

Pleasanton Military Families (PMF) is a non-profit support group
for family and friends of our local military men and women. Founded in 2003, at
the beginning of the Global War on Terror, there was a need for an outlet to
talk about our children, husbands, wives, and friends fighting this war.  PMF believes in sending letters, cards, boxes
filled with food and personal supplies reminds our deployed military that they
have not been forgotten, and that they are loved and supported from those at
home.  During PMF “pack-outs” multiple
care packages are sent out three times a year to approximately 30 individuals
from our local area.  Besides the much
needed goods, there is a growing need for your tax deductible donations to
cover the costs of shipping the care packages to our troops.  GNON and
PMF will be collecting goods and donations
for the Care Packages project at
the May 15th mixer to be
held at Remax Accord Realty in Pleasanton (5950 Stoneridge Dr) from
5-7:30pm.
