A Town that Truly Lives Up to its Name

Relatively new in town and eager to share all of the positive experiences I've had so far as a resident of Pleasant Hill and the Bay Area.

My husband and I moved to Pleasant Hill almost a year ago from Tucson, AZ.  Tired of the desert and wanting new career challenges, we decided to explore our options.  Fortunately we both ended up finding great work opportunities here in the Bay Area and found a great place to live in Pleasant Hill.

One of the things I have loved most about living in Pleasant Hill is that everything we want and need is in such close proximity.  Additionally, the town has an inviting atmosphere about it and everyone I have encountered while out and about is so friendly.

The focus of my blog is to talk about all of the great places that I've had the opportunity to visit in and around Pleasant Hill.  When we moved to town, Yelp.com was my best friend and as I experienced new restaurants and service places in town I added my insights via Yelp reviews.  This blog will be an extension of those reviews and my hope is that it introduces people to places in the area to which they may not have been before, whether they are new to the area like me or have been here for years.  I'd also like to use the blog to share my perspective of being new to PH and the Bay area in general -- how it's different than places I've lived before and so forth.

I'm eager to be a contributor and I hope that people find it as enjoyable as I do being able to share my point of view about Pleasant Hill, a town that truly lives up to its name!

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.

Teacher supplies is going on all over the country. I would suggest using the local PTA's to solicitRead More help from the parents.

Really? Show me the figures on this. The Dome has major infestation problems. It would require aRead More complete overhall and gutting. It is much cheaper to "rip and replace".
