I'm a Gregory Gardens Mom

Providing information for Gregory Gardens Elementary School parents and members of the community.

My first post. :)

I'm a Gregory Gardens Mom. My oldest daughter is in Kindergarten. So far I really like the school. So, to try to help out, I started a new website in February, PleasantHillMom.com. I wanted a central place to put all of the information that I get about the school. And I wanted it online to be able to access from anywhere. It started for my own benefit (), but since it is online, any Gregory Gardens parents also have access to it. Now it has grown a little to include local restaurants and events. I am hoping for it to continue to grow and to create a local online community for parents of Gregory Garden students, and as my kids grow, the middle school and high school in Pleasant Hill.

I also plan on using this blog to help keep Gregory Gardens parents informed on what's going on at the school.

Here are a few upcoming events at :

June 2nd - Gator Fest is this Saturday, from 1-5pm at Gregory Gardens

June 13th - Awards Assumbly, 10am MUR (Mutli Use Room)

June 14th - All-Together Day for End of the Year Program at 10:30am

Also, a reminder that Kidstop is closed on June 14th and 15th. Adventure camp starts on the 18th. For more information call 925-680-5298

Please feel free to contact me with information that you would like me to put onto the PleasantHillMom.com website. maura@blackbirdie.com. I'm happy to add any positive reviews or tips, etc.

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
