Gas Smell Permeating Pleasant Hill

Police say a natural gas leak originating in downtown Walnut Creek is blowing into Pleasant Hill this morning.

A strong odor of natural gas is blowing through Pleasant Hill this morning.

Police say about 8:30 a.m.

Students at Las Lomas High School were evacuated about 8:40 a.m. to the football field. They were sent back to class shortly after 9 a.m.

The odor dissipated from Walnut Creek about 9:15 a.m. and drifted into Pleasant Hill.

PG&E and Con Fire crews are investigating, but no cause has been found so far.
