Man Sprayed In Eyes, Robbed of iPhone Tuesday

Police are seeking a young black male who they say stole an iPhone on Harvard Dr.

A man was robbed of his iPhone on Harvard Drive Tuesday morning when an assailant sprayed something in his eyes.

According to Pleasant Hill police, the victim was walking down Harvard Drive when he was approached by a black male in his late teens wearing dark clothing. When the teen asked for directions, the victim pulled out his iPhone and looked it up on the map. The assailant asked to see the map – when the victim showed him the phone, he was sprayed in the eyes with an unknown substance. The assailant then grabbed the phone and ran in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was treated for eye irritation and is otherwise unharmed. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the Investigation Division of the Pleasant Hill Police Department at (925) 288-4600.
