Neighbors Help Identify Woman Who Burgled Pleasant Hill Home

Amanda Bruntz, 23, was arrested and charged with burglarizing a house on Harvard Drive.

Pleasant Hill police have arrested a 23-year-old Martinez woman on suspicion of burglarizing a house in the 700 block of Harvard Drive last week.

The woman allegedly stole jewelry and electronics from the Pleasant Hill home sometime during the day on May 6, according to police. When officers questioned neighbors and residents of the area, they were told that a white female driving a Gold Chevy SUV was responsible for the crime.

Police conducted a probation search of a residence in Martinez, which resulted in the arrest of Amanda Bruntz and recovery of several of the stolen items, according to police. Bruntz was taken into custody and later booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for two counts of burglary and one count of possession of stolen property.

Any witnesses to this or other burglaries with similar descriptions are asked to contact Pleasant Hill police investigators at (925) 288-4630.
