Pleasant Hill Police Log - Power Tool Chaos, Car Thefts, Water Balloon Hooligans

The following information was taken from the Pleasant HIll Police Log - July 10-15, 2012 - and rewritten by Pleasant Hill Patch.

July 10, 2012

3:11am – A very motivated do-it-yourselfer in the Strand Avenue/Maryal Road neighborhood was putting his power tools to good use, much to the chagrin of at least one neighbor, who reached out to the police to ask him to cease and desist, at least until the sun, and eveyrone else, was up.

3:15am – Meanwhile, neighbors in the Gloria Drive/Ardith Drive area were extremely displeased over the ruckus made by a delivery truck, and again, police were notified.

5:45am – The window of a car was smashed on Santa Barbara Road and Monte Cresta Avenue, and the smasher of the window helped themselves to some undisclosed items within.

5:45am – It was on Chilpancingo Parkway and Camelback Road. that neighbors saw a barefoot man sitting on the corner talking to himself. A few minutes later, he was talking to police, probably on the topic of the whereabouts of his footwear.

10:37 – A resident of Stevenson Drive and Eliot Drive reported that a young man in shorts and shoes with no shirt was walking back and forth in front of her house, the same man who had been hanging around neighborhood for the past several days.

12:19pm – A car was stolen from Gregory Lane and Cody Lane.

July 11, 2012

12:01am – A woman in Alma Park reported to police that a heavy-set bald man in a black polo shirt, tan shorts and flip flops stole her purse.

1:47am – Two purses and a GPS system were the booty some thief now calls his own, items stolen from a car on Scottsdale Road and Chilpancingo Parkway.

3:06am – A car was stolen from the Tuscany Apartments on Contra Costa Boulelvard. 

7:32am – Another car was stolen from Jib Court/Flame Dr.

1:10pm – In what managerial gurus might call an impulsive and unhelpful act of expressing one's frustration, an employee of the Chevron Station on Contra Costa Boulevard and Golf Club Road complained that the manager yelled and threw beef jerkey at him. 

1:13pm – A homeless man threatened to “drop” an employee of Furniture Clearance Plus store on Contra Costa Blvd. and Cottonwood Dr. when the employee asked the homeless man to leave.

7:06pm – A resident on Boyd Rd. and Oakvue Rd. reported that someone entered his home through the unlocked front door and stole his very expensive mountain bike from the living room.

July 12, 2012

5:51pm – In a ridiculous act of hyper-annoying stupidism, people in a blue jeep were reported throwing water balloons at vehicles on Norse Drive and Viking Drive.

6:06pm – A pair of saws were stolen from the back of a truck on Oak Park Blvd. and Monte Cresta Ave., the second such theft in a month.

6:11pm – A stereo was reported stolen from a car on the fourth floor of a parking garage on Crescent Dr. and Crescent Pl.

6:25pm -  A man in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet on Contra Costa Blvd. was reported approaching women and asking for money.

6:32pm – The blue Jeep with the water balloon morons struck again, this time at Paso Nogal Rd. and Morello Ave.

7:19pm – Four juveniles were seen spray painting in the back of Leslie’s Pool Supplies at Vivian Dr and Linda Dr.

July 13, 2012

7:27am – A vehicle was reported stolen from Ellington Terrace.

7:19pm – A window was smashed at the First Christian Church on Pleasant Hill Rd. and Karol Lane, and musical equipment stolen.

7:50pm – A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after he was reported pleasuring himself in front of Radio Shack on Contra Costa Blvd. and Doris Dr.

11:02pm – A tree fell, crushing a car on Cleopatra Dr and Sherman Dr.

July 14, 2012

11:41pm – A home on Jackson Way and Gregory Lane was egged three times.

July 15, 2012

1:52am – A woman was arrested in font fo Tahoe Joe's on suscipion of driving under the incluence, and booked into county jail in Martinez. 

7:21pm – A home on Ruth Dr. and Alan Dr. was burglarized when the home was entered through a garage door. A checkbook and wallet were stolen.
