Police Log: Middle School Marijuana, Car Burglaries, Stolen Christmas Gifts

Here are some of the items that kept Pleasant Hill police busy the past week.

Thursday, Dec. 20

12:01 a.m.: Police received a report of five teens wearing robes and masks bothering patrons at the In N Out Burger on Contra Costa Boulevard.

12:05 a.m.: A man reported finding a steak knife in the windshield of his car on Monti Court. He said he believed the knife was related to a "previous incident."

8:12 a.m: Two students at Valley View Middle School were detained by administrators after they were caught smoking marijuana. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.

11:47 a.m.: Police were notified that administrators at College Park High School had detained a student for sellling marijuana to a Valley View Middle School student.

3:52 p.m.: Employees at the Shop N Save on Gregory Lane reported a teen had just left their store after stealing two bottles of vodka.

4:40 p.m.: A motorist reported a female bicyclist had been hit by a car at Oak Park Boulevard and Stevenson Drive. The caller said the woman appeared to have a broken leg. The driver of the gray/blue Honda involved had remained on the scene to assist.

10:30 p.m.: A woman reported her purse had been stolen from her locked red Acura in the parking lot of the J.C. Penney Home Store on Contra Costa Boulevard.

10:51 p.m.: A 42-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence. She was stopped in her Ford Escape near the southbound Interstate 680 ramp along Gregory Lane.

Friday, Dec. 21

9:56 a.m.: A car was burglarized overnight on Massolo Drive. The owner reported her purse was stolen from her 1991 Honda Accord.

3:39 p.m.: A gray Acura had its window smashed while it was parked at Tahoe Joe's on Contra Costa Boulevard. The owner reported a backpack was stolen.

Saturday, Dec. 22

4:41 p.m.: Employees at Denny's restaurant on Contra Costa Bouelvard asked police to remove two homeless people from their business. They said the homeless people have taken money from tables in the past.

9:51 p.m.: A vehicle was reported stolen from the parking garage of Crescent Drive. The car was a white Toyota Camry.

Sunday, Dec. 23

12:16 a.m.: A resident reported pranksters had blocked Oak Park Bouelvard near Stevenson Drive with PG&E barricades.

10:54 a.m.: A resident reported his white Honda Civic had been stolen overnight from in front of his home on Patterson Boulevard.

12:29 p.m.: Police received a report that a blue Ford truck had been broken into on Norse Drive. A purse was stolen.

Monday, Dec. 24

No police logs were available.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

8:19 a.m.: Police were told a gray Toyota Corolla had been broken into in the parking lot of the Hyatt House on Contra Costa Boulevard. Christmas gifts were among the items reported stolen.
