Police: Misplaced Porcupines And Arrow

Also, a beer theft with a threat and other reports from the Pleasant Hill police log from March 23 to March 25.

March 23
DUI and parole violation. At 1:53 a.m., Pleasant Hill police officers made a traffic stop at Contra Costa Boulevard and Crescent Drive and arrested a 34-year-old man for DUI and discovered that he was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon.

Porcupines? At 6:37 a.m., a Banbridge Place resident reported receiving several phone calls from an unknown person claiming to be from the power company and advising him to turn his power off because there were porcupines in the power box. The resident contacted PG&E, where an employee stated that it was a prank call or a scam, and  they had received similar complaints from other customers.

Me and my arrow. A Saint Lawrence Way resident notified police that at 12:09 p.m. he was playing with his daughter and accidentally shot an arrow over the fence into his neighbor's yard while no one was home. The resident wanted to document that it was an accident.

Multiple charges. At 10:50 p.m., a woman jumped out of a silver Toyota on Gregory Lane at Helen Road and yelled for others to call police. The man driving was yelling at her to get back in the car. Police came and arrested the 42-year-old man for DUI with priors and a probation violation.

March 24
Beer theft. At 7:19 p.m. at Safeway on Contra Costa Boulevard, one teen stole a pack of beer, fought with employees and officers detained him. The 18-year-old was cited for the theft. An accomplice left in a black station wagon but not before threatening to come back and "shoot up the place."

March 25
Sleeper. At 7:52 a.m., an employee of Fedex-North on Contra Costa Boulevard reported a man who had been sleeping in the business for several hours. Police assisted by escorting the 25-year-old man out and arresting him on a drug charge.
