Police Release Sketch Of Cell Phone Theft Suspect

Pleasant Hill authorities say he has been stealing mobile phones from people in the Contra Costa Boulevard area

Pleasant Hill police have released a sketch of a man suspected of stealing cell phones from people in the Contra Costa Boulevard area.

The suspect has been described as an African-American man, 25 to 30 years old, with closely shaven hair and a muscular build.

He's described as wearing a heavy jacket, scarf and beanie cap. He also rides a mountain bike with no kickstand.

Authorities released details of the crimes on Friday.

They said in some cases the man approaches victims from behind and snatches the mobile phones while they are distracted. In other cases, he asks the victim if he can use their phone and then takes off with it.

The thefts have taken place in the Contra Costa Boulevard area between Taylor Boulevard and Second Avenue South.

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.

Really? Show me the figures on this. The Dome has major infestation problems. It would require aRead More complete overhall and gutting. It is much cheaper to "rip and replace".
