A missing autistic teen from Concord was found safe tonight at Sunvalley mall.
Pleasant Hill police said Felipe Medina, 16, was discovered about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Subway sandwich shop inside the shopping center.
The teen is back with his family tonight.
Medina was reported missing by his mother at 4:30 p.m. The mother and son were at the Ace Hardware on Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill when he disappeared.
Medina speaks limited Spanish and no English. Police had alerted the public, saying the teen liked to take long walks and enjoyed parks and crowds. They were particularly concerned about his well-being due to the cold weather tonight.
