Police: Serial Credit Card Fraud

Also, a track-and-field injury and other reports of emergency and sometimes criminal behavior from the Pleasant Hill police log from March 11 to March 13.

March 11
Broken down and parked. Residents of Tuscany Apartments on Contra Costa Boulevard complained about three people living out of a vehicle that is broken down mechanically in the parking lot.

Chain injury. At 4:06 p.m., officers assisted paramedics in responding to the football field at Diablo Valley College, tending to a 20-year-old student injured by the chain of the hammer used in the hammer throw, a field event in track and field.

March 12
Slim jim. Police investigated a report at 2:02 p.m. of two men using a "slim jim" to try to break into a Chrysler in the parking lot of Safeway, Contra Costa Boulevard.

Caught in the act. Reported at 11:27 p.m., a man described as a Hispanic male in his early 30s, wearing a black hood, tried a car door handle on Bonnie Court. When he saw that a neighbor had noticed him, he dashed off in the direction of Bonnie Lane.

March 13
Serial credit fraud perp. A man was arrested on burglary charges for using fraudulent credit cards at Safeway, Best Buy, Toys R Us and several station stations, according to a 9:12 a.m. report to Pleasant Hill police.
