Three Teenagers Arrested On Suspicion Of Burglary

Police caught two of the teens inside a home on the 1900 block of Oak Park Blvd.

Three teenagers, ages 13, 14 and 15, were arrested today (Wed., May 2) on suspicion of burglarizing a home on the 1900 block of Oak Park Blvd. The three teenagers are all Bay Point residents who attend Pleasant Hill schools.

According to Lt. Jose Delatorre, police received a call around 9:45 am from a resident who reported that three teenagers were looking over fences of homes in the area of Byron Court and Stevenson Drive.

One suspect was found at the corner of Oak Park Boulevard and Stevenson. Police learned that the other two suspects were burglarizing a home on the 1900 block of Oak Park.

Delatorre said police set up a perimeter around the home, and caught a suspect trying to flee by climbing out a window. The other suspect was apprehended while still inside the home.

Police believe at least one other home had been burglarized by the three suspects earlier in the day. All three suspects were booked into Juvenile Hall in Martinez.

Police said it was the diligence of the resident who originally reported the suspicious activity that led directly to the arrest of the suspects, and urged anyone with further information regarding this incident to call (925) 288-4630.
