City Looks For Part-Time Work From Law Firm

Pleasant Hill is moving away from the full-time city attorney model.

The city of Pleasant Hill is inviting applications from law firms willing to provide 25 to 30 hours of service a week.

The city is seeking a one-year contract with annual renewals "contemplated based on a mutually agreeable working relationship," according to a notice on the city's website.

It is a move away from a full-time city attorney model since August, when City Attorney Debra Margolis resigned. In 2011, the city paid $281,354 for Margolis' compensation package, the Contra Costa Times reported.
