We may finally know the winner of the third and final open seat on the Pleasant Hill City Council by the end of the day on Monday afternoon.
On Thursday, Contra Costa County Clerk Steve Weir had said he hoped to have all the ballots in the city's Nov. 6 election counted by Friday evening.
However, on Friday afternoon, Weir said the results would be updated Monday afternoon.
The ballots left to count include write-in ballots and provisional ballots.
At the moment, Planning Commissioner Tim Flaherty leads fellow commissioner Jim Bonato by 71 votes for that final seat.
Flaherty has 4,569 to Bonato's 4,498.
Incumbent David Durant was the top vote getter in the election with 6,171 votes. Ken Carlson was second with 5,544.
Eight candidates ran for the three seats.
