2012 Bay Area Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk & Picnic/sponsored by Macy's

On October 7, 2012 during national Down Syndrome Awareness Month, the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area will host our annual Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk at Little Hills Ranch in San Ramon. We expect over 1500 people in attendance this year. Children, teens and young adults with Down syndrome; their families and community members from around the Bay will walk a mile during this nationwide fundraiser. GATHER UP A TEAM AND WALK A MILE FOR DOWN SYNDROME! HELP US RAISE $150K!

$30.00 per person (till Sept 1 - -after Sept 1 price will increase and lunch and t-shirt cannot be guaranteed)-children 5 and under and people with Down syndrome are always free. Registration includes: t-shirt, BBQ lunch and many activities such as swimming, fishing, rock climbing wall, bouncy house, air brush tattooing and more. The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
