Your Hometown Comedy Queen

Pleasant Hill's own Comedy Queen?

I am the comedy Queen of Pleasant Hill.

This is true.  I moved to Pleasant Hill in 2005 after living 12 years in the city.  There were far too many categories of funny people in San Francisco for me to compete. So I moved my family to the very charming Pleasant Hill.

The title of "Funniest Comedy Queen" was unclaimed.  Now, this may be news to many of you Pleasantonians (that word makes me giggle) and you may have several reactions to this proclamation - the first being "Who gave you the title, lady?”

Well, I have been performing stand-up since 1994. So you see I am experienced.  My mom proclaims me hilarious (y'all would not argue with my Mom would ya?). The Pleasant Hill Park and Recreation even hired me to teach comedy.

Veronica Dangerfield is a name destined for comic royalty.  My comedy is based on my story of being raised in Tokyo, Japan and landing in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  I have met many funny people in my favorite hometown. Pleasant Hill is the most loving place in the world.

If any of you want to challenge the crown of the Queen bring it on. We can sit around and make each other laugh. Sharing is my best and most practiced skill. And I think I have some extra crowns in my purse.

The Staples discounts are not really all that helpful. You can usually find lower prices atRead More Wallmart or on Amazon and you must spend a large amount (a couple hundred dollars) all in one month to get any cash back reward at all. If you spend money on school supplies spread out, like $150/mo, you do not accumulate enough in any one month to get any reward at all. The deal sounds great, but I've found it completely useless and frustrating. I think it's a ploy for positive press only, and of little help to a teacher.
