He was the pre-emminent member of the Honorary Board of the Concord Historical Society. Dave loved to talk about his growing up in Concord .While spending his early years in Concord, Dave split his time between taking music lessons from his mother, the town classical piano teacher, and working on his dad's cattle ranch which is now Oakhurst Country Club and the Pavilion.It is lucky for all of us that he decided to make music his life's work. The Society Resource Center has a collection of Brubeck family history and photos, and his archives are housed at the Brubeck Institute at UOP, Stockton. The Resource Center is open on Wednesdays from 1-4 at 1600 Sutter Strret, Ste E,Concord.
