Power Outage At DVC Causes Class Cancellations

A partial power outage occurred at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, taking down Internet access and phone lines on campus.

Some classes at Diablo Valley College had to be moved or cancelled Tuesday due to a partial power outage on campus.

An announcement was made at around 9 a.m. on the DVC website stating that the college was experiencing "computer problems" due to the outage.

"There is no access to the Internet, email, phones or the college website at this time," stated the announcement.

All buildings on campus had electricity, according to the announcement, but 19 classes had to be cancelled and six classes relocated. The College for Kids program was also cancelled, according to the DVC Facebook page. A full list of cancelled and relocated classes can be found online here.

It is unclear when power will be restored to campus.
