Blues and Brews Returns To Pleasant Hill July 27

The craft beer festival takes place at Pleasant Hill Park and includes beer tasting and live music. Here's what's in store for the 2013 event.

Summer was made for cold beers and live music, which is why the Pleasant Hill Blues and Brews Festival is returning for a fourth year.

The event takes place at Pleasant Hill Park on July 27 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and costs $55 for VIP access, $45 for general admission at the door, or $35 for tickets bought in advance online. Tickets include a commemorative glass and tasting. Proceeds support the Pleasant Hill Teen Center and Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce.

Free live music will be provided by The Candye Kane BandThe Chris Cain BandCaroompas RoomJinx Jones and the KingtonesFrankie G. & the Conviction and Red Eye Revue.

Beer tasting will be available from a variety of brewers, including: 

New to this year's festival is a free Friday night pre-party concert on July 26 featuring music by The Big Jangle from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“Summer nights in Pleasant Hill are usually warm and we expect a festive evening of music with The Big Jangle,” said Matt Rinn, Board Chairman, Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce, as quoted in a press release. “Food, beer and wine will also be available for purchase and we look forward to adding a new tradition to the already popular Blues & Brews Festival.”
